Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are located in Baja California peninsula. There are lots to do for everyone. The flight is a very short one from Las Vegas. One thing that I enjoy about this place is the town is not too big and few crowds. The nightlife is very exciting but for the most part you go to Cabo to enjoy the beaches. It has a very large marina and an amazing bay where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Cabo is also known for the stone arch, called El Arco. If you Google Cabo San Lucas that is one of the first things that comes up is El Arco. I recommend taking a one of the many tours they offer and they will take you to all the great tourist attractions. But like any other place in Mexico you can negotiate these tours. Their will be many people offering so many packages that you can buy but remember you can wheel and deal with them. Another great thing about Cabo is the variety of the all inclusive hotels and resorts for any budget. I would try to stay close to the Marina and this way you can avoid paying taxi cabs and you will be close to everything like shopping and restaurants. Now you can also take a cruise ship to Cabo but being in a cruise ship you will not be able to enjoy much of the nightlife being that you need to be back in the boat by a specific time. When I went to Cabo I noticed lots of police presence constantly everywhere. So if you want to be a beach bum on your next vacation and have a low budget vacation this is the place to go.

  2. Not too many years ago I took three weeks and drove the entire length of Baja, from CA to Cabo. It was a fascinating adventure. I really loved Cabo and San Jose and hope to find a couple of weeks to go there again and really concentrate on playing the beach bum.

  3. I've been to Mexico, but not for years. Last time was in 1982 on the "Pacific Princess." That was when my parents were paying for the vacation, maybe this blog will entice me to save up to go on a vacation there again. School first grrrr

Can't wait for more pictures :D

  5. It is stories like this http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/02/27/22-carnival-cruise-ship-passengers-robbed-at-gunpoint-in-mexico/?test=latestnews , about how 22 passengers from a cruise ship were going on a nature hike and were held up by banditos last week, that makes a person think twice or more before deciding to vacation in Mexcio these days. Very sad.

    1. This is very sad. I agree with you about having to think twice before going to Mexico. I read also where Carnival will no longer cruise to some parts of Mexico in 2013. Usually when I go I try to stay on the beach and not take to many tours that will take me far from either the cruise ship or the beach.
